Politics has intensified in the case of a Muslim youth allegedly trying to convert ‘Hindu to Muslim’ at the Turkman Gate night shelter. The BJP has alleged that the Delhi government is deliberately keeping mum on the matter. The party has written a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner demanding action in the matter. At the same time, some Hinduist organizations have decided to run a campaign to create awareness among Hindu girls against Love Jihad in Delhi.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has said that this matter should be thoroughly investigated and the fact should come out that who is behind it and how many people have been converted so far. He said that the Delhi Police should keep an eye on all the night shelters in the capital, because poor helpless poor people are spending their time in these places and such people are actively playing their conversion game at such places.
In a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, Sachdeva has asked for an inquiry into the conversion of a homeless poor resident of Turkman Gate night shelter from Hinduism to Islam. Allegedly, the accused in the conversion case, Mohammed Kalim, is said to be an engineer by profession.
The matter came to light when Sandeep Sagar, the caretaker of Ranbasera at Turkman Gate lodged an FIR. In the case registered at Chandni Mahal police station, Sandeep Sagar alleges that the said Mohd. Kalim had been pressurizing her for a long time to convert and accept Islam as her religion.

The United Hindu Front has decided to launch an awareness campaign in the capital to prevent people from converting and to save Hindu girls from incidents like love jihad. International Working President of United Hindu Front Jai Bhagwan Goyal said that in view of these incidents there is a need to save sisters and daughters from this. For this they will run a special campaign. He said that people being working people remain busy in their work, while behind them the task of wooing the girls of their family is by creating such conspiracies. For this they will make people aware.
